If you are serving as an officer, warrant office or a senior non-commissioned officer in the Royal Engineers or a Queens Gurkha Engineer and have at least two years of Army service remaining you’ve passed the first criterion and may be eligible to apply for up to £600 from our bursary scheme!
The
second criterion is that your proposed course of study leads to a qualification above a Level 3 in the National Qualifications Framework or a Level 6 in the Scottish Credit Qualifications Framework and it exceeds all of your existing levels of qualifications.
The ILM Level 2 Award in Team Leading – Completion of the Unit PNCO Cadre; aims to give practising or potential team and cell leaders the foundation for their formal development in this role. The qualification does this by developing basic team leading skills and assisting participants in gaining the basic knowledge required at this level. The assessment criteria has changed from the previous qualification as there is now a requirement to complete a Reflective Review with the reminder of the students portfolio consisting of the Assessment sheets covering; Motivate the Team to Work, Command a Team, Orders, Command a Fire Team, Write Effectively plus a copy of the students Course Report.
The ILM Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading – Completion of the JCC Course; aims to give practising or potential team leaders the foundation for their formal development in this role. The qualification does this by developing a wide range of team leading skills and assisting participants in gaining the comprehensive knowledge required by a team leader. This qualification builds on the ILM Level 2 Award in Team Leading and broadens the skills and knowledge in a flexible and practical way. Candidates are not required to undertake the Award as a pre-requisite and may join Certificate programmes directly. The assessment requirements remain as the previous qualification.
The Units required to complete the Award & Certificate are shown below. These requirements are covered in the JNCO Cadre & JCC as long as the relevant course follows the EinC’s guidelines for the course content.
